Portable Privacy Hedges for Flexible Spaces
The Challenge
The hotel had recently removed a permanent wall dividing their patio area. Management sought a portable solution that could flexibly open or partition the space as needed. The project required dividers sufficiently tall for privacy while remaining stable enough to withstand ocean breezes typical of coastal San Diego.
Our Solution
Geranium Street created eight-foot-high by six-foot-long artificial boxwood hedges mounted in weighted steel bases with recessed casters, enabling easy repositioning while maintaining structural integrity.
The Results
The portable hedges allowed the hotel to create flexible space division and guest privacy without permanent structural modifications. Staff can easily reconfigure the patio for different events and capacities.
