Custom Freestanding Living Wall Trellis
The Challenge
The Cove Hotel, a newly constructed coastal property in Long Beach, required a screening solution for an employee-only area. The client sought functional greenery that would obstruct views from the main parking lot while enhancing the visual experience for arriving guests. The project demanded a permanent, weather-resistant structure capable of withstanding coastal winds.
Our Solution
Geranium Street constructed a freestanding trellis featuring a custom living wall. The installation involved welding a steel exterior frame, securing it with concrete, then installing geometric patterned panels using artificial boxwood, succulent mat, fern mat, and red azaleas.
The Results
The custom trellis provides both privacy screening and aesthetic enhancement for hotel guests. The geometric pattern creates a striking visual that complements the hotel's modern coastal design while blocking sightlines to the service area.
